Walrus Skulls with Tusks

We usually have a small number of walrus skulls with tusks available.  The price varies with size, weight, and condition.

Walrus are legally hunted for food by the Inuit in northern Canada.  The walrus hunt also offers a strong bonding experience for members of the community.  Skulls that are not used in the local communities for arts and crafts are often available for sale in Canada or for export with the proper permits to most countries other than the United States.  There is no commercial hunting of walrus. There are approximately 200 walrus killed for food each year in the Canadian arctic. Only a small number of skulls are brought south each year.  We buy from Arctic Canada.

Please see more information on how to order these items, shipping, and import/export controls on the Ordering page.

Testimonials

Mr. V.D.H. from The Netherlands writes:

Well...........our new guest arrived  in good "health".
He is beautiful.  We  ever saw two walrus skulls before.........but this one is bigger and more "macho".
We think that the others  that we have seen must have been females.
The transport and the handling here in the Netherlands  went very smooth.
Everything was in order!  Also the paperwork.
So.........thank you very much.....again.
